ELUDE EXPEDITION – FAQ

Effective October 2025

What Services Will Be Discontinued

  • Alignments: Although many of our clients have been happy and even swear by our work, we don’t have an alignment machine to provide hard numbers or printouts in the event of inquiry from those who prefer to see illustrations with data and color charts.

  • Carry-in Shock Rebuilds: Too many complications have arisen from outside shock removal and installation — such as loosened hose fittings, fluid loss, and missing or damaged hardware. We will now only rebuild shocks that we remove and reinstall ourselves.

What About My Current / Existing Parts and Service Warranty?

No changes.

We stand behind what we sell and the work we perform.

All warranties will continue to be honored, including our 60-day labor warranty on all services performed.

What Changes Have Gone Into Effect

  • Installation of Customer-Supplied Parts: When issues arise with parts supplied by customers, the administrative process becomes complicated because we can’t verify where the part came from or its legitimacy for warranty purposes. These parts are also often incompatible with other aftermarket components already on the vehicle.

  • Service Packages Only: Certain services will now be offered as package deals only. We will no longer perform one-off or singular services without addressing the supporting elements required for proper installation and performance. This approach helps reduce complications, ensures consistent quality, and ultimately saves our customers money in the long run.

  • Pre-Service Inspections and Consultations: Pre-service inspections are now required for all suspension packages, and whenever possible for other services as well. Inspections help prevent workflow disruptions caused by unexpected issues discovered during appointments. Consultations are now mandatory for all suspension systems to ensure each setup is properly matched and safely executed.

  • 20-Year Vehicle Age Limit: Effective immediately, we will no longer service light-duty pickups or SUVs older than 20 years. Older vehicles often bring unforeseen complications due to wear, corrosion, or past modifications that compromise the quality and integrity of our work.
However, we are allowing a six-month grace period as a final opportunity for existing local clients with older model vehicles. This is our way of showing gratitude to the community that has supported us and helped us grow to where we are today.

Closing Statement

These changes are not about doing less — they’re about doing things right.

Every vehicle that leaves Elude should perform the way it was meant to.

We’re refining our process so that the quality of our work, and the experience we provide, continue to meet the standards our clients expect — and that we expect from ourselves.

The grace period for older vehicles is our way of saying thank you to those who have been with us from the start. We believe these changes are for the benefit of everyone — not just to make our lives easier, but to ensure that every project we take on reflects the craftsmanship, reliability, and pride that define Elude Expedition.
